NO KID HUNGRY

We wanted to have Needful Things Company be more than just a business.  We wanted it to have purpose.  Today an article got my attention.

It brought back some not so great memories and feelings.  How it felt to be hungry.  Not being able to eat or have access to food for days, or weeks.  It would be 5 days without food.  A bad break up of 14 years put me in a situation I was not prepared for, nor saw coming.
I would work as a background actor to be able to get a hot meal on set.  I then found out I could sell my plasma weekly and make extra money.
People would tell me how great I looked getting thin, not knowing what was really behind the weight loss.  Friends would be telling me  in great detail, what they were fixing or having for dinner, not knowing I was starving and had not eaten in days.
Having walked that walk, there is no reason that a child should ever have to experience that!  Not here in the United States.   So that being said, I think this is a great cause.
I saw one company that made a product just for their cause to sell and give all proceeds to the charity.  So put on your thinking caps, and if you have ideas let me know.

We can design tees, mugs, bags, and sell with a specific design.  Or I will shop my vendors and maybe find a unique product line we can sell and donate proceeds.
